Southern States Signs Show Jumping Superstar

Southern States has entered into a horse feed sponsorship with Laura Kraut, one of the top international show jumping riders.

Based out of Wellington, Florida, Kraut is a highly-decorated competitor with a gold medal from the 2008 Olympic Games and a silver medal from the World Equestrian Games (WEG) at Aachen in 2006. She has also represented the United States in numerous Nations Cup competitions, Global Champions Tour events, World Cup Finals and grand prix events around the world.

"I'm so excited to announce that I have joined the Legends feed team with Southern States. The nutrition plan for my horses is a very important part of their health management and success," Kraut expressed with excitement.

Kraut's string of show horses are exclusively on the Legends® line of horse feeds.

"Legends feeds provide a range of products that meet the various needs of all the horses in my barn — from the up-and-coming young horses, to Cedric, who at 17 years old is still at the top of his game."

In February 2015, Southern States improved its offering in the Legends horse feed line.

"We are very excited to have Laura Kraut as part of the Legends team. Laura's passion for excellence matches very well with our desire to provide the best nutrition possible for horses," said Jim Moore, vice president of the feed division for Southern States. "She exemplifies what is great about the horse industry."

To be paired up with a trainer as reputable and successful as Kraut brings a lot of pride to the Southern States community.

"It's one thing for us to say how good our Legends line is — but to have an equestrian of Laura's caliber feeding the product to her horses is more meaningful," said Steve Patterson, Southern States vice president of marketing. "We are proud and honored to have Laura's association with our brand."
